Lazy, Hazy Summer Day

In this painting, I wanted to capture the feeling of a hot, hazy summer day at the beach.  A couple relaxes in their colorful beach chairs while a mother and her children frolic in the surf. The faint outline of a shrimp boat on the horizon suggests a location along the north Florida coast.
