Swamp Rhythms

I love the mystery of a swamp - the majestic cypress trees and their sculptural knees rising up through the tannic-colored water; tree canopies arching cathedral-like over the watery path; the piercing eyes of an alligator barely visible amongst the spatterdock.  Kayaking or hiking through these quiet and wild environs inspires me to paint their unique beauties.
